New movies and shows coming to Apple TV+ in April 2022 – AppleTV 4 Jailbreak (appletv4jailbreak.com)
March came and went, bringing with it at least one major new release in the form of Apple TV+’s grand family opera, Pachinko. This month might not be as epic, all things considered, but there are certainly some noteworthy new additions being added to Apple’s video streaming library this month.
And, as usual, we’ve got a quick breakdown of what to expect for the month of April when it comes to new things to watch. Much like last month, Apple TV+ is really leaning into TV shows this month, too. For fans of the Peanuts gang, though, there’s a new special coming down the pipe to keep an eye out for.

April 1
Slow Horses
Here’s Apple’s official description of the series:
Slow Horses follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 – Slough House. Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but irascible leader of the spies who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes.
Slow Horses stars Gary Oldman (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Kristin Scott Thomas (Confessions of a Shopaholic), Jack Lowden (Dunkirk), and Graham Yost (Sneaky Pete).
Slow Horses premieres Friday, April 1, 2022.
April 8
Pinecone & Pony
This is an animated series based on the book written by Kate Beaton. Pinecone is a warrior in training who fears no challenge, and Pony is her trusted friend that makes sure the little warrior never gets in over her head. This is a family-friendly adventure series starring the voice talents of Maria Nash, Chase Dillon, Rachel House, and Thom Allison.
Pinecone & Pony starts streaming Friday, April 8, 2022.
April 15
Roar
Roar is a mind-bending anthology series with a stacked cast. It’s a female-driven effort, both in front and behind the cameras, and will tell a variety of different stories from different perspectives. There are eight stories in total. Here’s Apple’s official description:
Based on the book by best-selling author Cecelia Ahern and led by a star-studded cast of female talent in front of and behind the camera, Roar explores female experiences that many women have but rarely talk about. Through these 8 stories, each episode uses magical realism and delivers an insightful, poignant, and sometimes hilarious portrait of what it means to be a woman today.
Roar stars Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies), Cynthia Erivo (Harriet), Alison Brie (Glow), Betty Gilpin (Glow), Kara Hayward (Moonrise Kingdom), and Jake Johnson (New Girl), among others.
The series will premiere on Friday, April 15, 2022.
