These are the obvious choices, in my eyes. Fortnite is especially perfect honestly, since you can play with friends regardless of whether they’re on Android, Nintendo Switch, iPhone, iPad, PC, PS4, Xbox One… You are literally spoilt for choice, and it pretty much guarantees your friends will have a capable device somewhere.

If you’ve bought a new Apple device in the last four months, Apple has given you a pretty sweet freebie you might not know about: a free year of its video streaming service, Apple TV Plus.
Beginning on September 10, 2019, anyone who bought a new Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, or Apple TV from Apple is eligible for a completely free year of Apple TV Plus, which normally costs $4.99 a month.
Yet many customers seemingly aren’t aware of the offer. That’s bad because people who bought a qualifying product need to activate their free year of Apple TV Plus by January 31—or lose it for good.

Following the launch of an eponymous standalone Apple TV app, Charter Spectrum on Friday announced a promotion that allows new and existing Spectrum TV and Internet customers to add an Apple TV 4K to their subscription for $7.50 a month.
The hardware offer was detailed in a press release touting the launch of the Spectrum TV App for tvOS, which hit the App Store on Thursday.
According to terms of the deal disclosed in the document, new and existing customers will next week be able to add Apple’s top-tier streaming box to their monthly plan for $7.50 plus tax for 24 months. While not specified in the release, Charter is assumedly marketing the 32GB Apple TV 4K, as the full-term cost is comparable to purchasing the $179 device at retail pricing.
“With Spectrum TV on Apple TV 4K, customers can now enjoy the ultimate entertainment experience across their iPhone, iPad and Apple TV,” said Apple VP of marketing Greg Joswiak. “We want to help customers get right to watching their favorite channels, shows, movies and sports, and with innovative features like zero sign-on, the Apple TV app and Siri, they are able to jump right in.”
With the launch of Spectrum TV this week, Charter Spectrum became the first U.S. basic cable company to offer support for tvOS 12’s zero sign-on functionality. The feature automatically authenticates existing subscriptions, allowing users to seamlessly access channels and on-demand content provided through their selected cable bundle.
Zero sign-on is fashioned as a successor to “single sign-on” functionality, which debuted in 2016 to streamline the log in process for a growing number of third-party video streaming apps.

Apple’s streaming service launched in November 2019 with a suite of buzzy, high-profile shows, including The Morning Show with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, Jason Momoa in sci-fi series See, and Hailee Steinfeld as the titular poet in Dickinson. But which series and movies have earned their spot among the best Apple TV+ offerings so far?
The streaming service recently launched animated musical series Central Park, comedy series Trying about Nikki and Jason (Esther Smith and Rafe Spall), a couple who want a baby; movie The Banker, about businessmen Bernard Garrett (Anthony Mackie) and Joe Morris (Samuel L. Jackson), who devise a plan to circumvent the racist establishment of the 1960s; and the story of intrepid kid journalist, Home Before Dark, starring Brooklynn Prince (The Florida Project) and Jim Sturgess (Cloud Atlas).
Some other titles recently added: a new version of Steven Spielberg’s anthology series Amazing Stories; Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet (created by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Megan Ganz, the team known for It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia); from writer–executive producers Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. For those who don’t already know, Apple released version 4.4.1 of the AppleTV firmware. Because of this, our Seas0npass 4.3 tutorial will no longer work since 4.3 is not being signed. You will now have to use this tutorial in order to perform a tethered jailbreak on your AppleTV 4.4.1. Remember that since this is a tethered jailbreak you will have to perform the 3 tethered jailbreak steps at the bottom of this tutorial every time you power off your AppleTV(so make sure to leave it powered if you don’t want to have to connect it to your computer).
DOWNLOAD:

Step 1: Unzip the ‘Seas0nPass.zip’ file and launch Seas0nPass.
Step 2: Select the ‘Create IPSW’ button to start the jailbreak process.
Step 3: The latest AppleTV software will be downloaded and used to create a custom ‘jailbroken’ software file.
Step 4: When prompted, connect your AppleTV to your Mac/PC using a micro-USB cable (leave power disconnected), and hold both the ‘MENU’ and ‘PLAY/PAUSE’ buttons for 7 seven seconds.
Step 5: iTunes will open automatically and start the restore process.
Step 6: iTunes will confirm the restore when complete — your AppleTV is now jailbroken!
Note: The current version will not add a Seas0nPass menu to the AppleTV — this is something that will be resolved soon.
Note: The tethered boot steps described below are required only if updating to AppleTV 4.4. These steps are not required for the 4.3 version.
Some AppleTV software versions require a tethered boot. This means the AppleTV must be connected to a computer for a brief moment during startup.
Note: The AppleTV MUST be disconnected from the computer (for at least a brief moment) after restoring in iTunes for the tethered boot process below to work properly.
Step 1: Open Seas0nPass and select the ‘Boot Tethered’ option.
Step 2: When prompted, connect the AppleTV to your computer via USB. Wait for the rapid flashing light then connect the power. Once both are connected hold both the ‘MENU’ and ‘PLAY/PAUSE’ buttons for 7 seven seconds.
Step 3: Seas0nPass will complete the tethered boot automatically. Once complete, remove the USB cable and connect the HDMI cable.
Note: Timing is key. Once the you receive the success message shown below, the USB cable should be removed and HDMI cable connected before the light on the front of the AppleTV stops flashing. (Don’t worry there is ample to do this, so you don’t need Superman speed).

Apple is used to dominating the market when it comes to phones, tablets and smartwatches. It’s a different story for media streaming devices, where the Apple TV goes up against popular offerings from Roku, Google, and Amazon.
If you’re an Apple fan, though, you’ll love what the company has done with the latest iteration of Apple TV ($169.00 at Walmart) . A new remote adds voice control with Siri, a touchpad, and an accelerometer and gyroscope for games. And this fall, there will be even more to watch once the Apple TV+ streaming service arrives.
The standard HD Apple TV costs $149 for 32GB of storage space. The Apple TV 4K edition costs $179 for 32GB or $199 for 64GB. Let’s see what you can do with it.
You’ll need the remote that comes with the Apple TV during the setup process, but you’re not stuck with it after that. Turn your iPhone into a remote with the Apple TV Remote app for iOS. (For Android users, there are some apps not made by Apple on Google Play.)
You can also use a traditional third-party remote. On your Apple TV, navigate to Settings > General > Remotes > Learn Remote, where you can map your remote to work with the device.
Is your Apple TV remote dead or just in need of new batteries? Go to Settings > Remotes and Devices to view how much charge is left. Click Remote to see the actual percentage number.
The newest Apple TV remote uses a touchpad instead of directional buttons, but sometimes the surface can be a little too sensitive. If you find that it’s hard to make the selections you want because you’re always overshooting the apps, adjust how quickly it scrolls by going to Settings > Remotes and Devices > Touch Surface Tracking. The default setting is medium, but you can change it to fast or slow.
Did you miss something someone said onscreen? Tap the touch surface on the left to go back 10 seconds, or tap on the right if you need to get past a sad animal commercial 10 seconds at a time.
