Our media deserves a lot of blame for not holding Doc’s feet to the fire. They’re all yes men desperate for access. As if it’s even that muckraking to ask Doc why he keeps starting Prince at the 2, or Kuzma period thru struggles. Point out you can’t dig yourselves out of 20+ holes every game.

Now, watch them ask zero questions about it (unless maybe national media, who’s ignorant, & have an axe to grind against us, gets involved), and then Doc’s only adjustment will be to throw Lillard next to Prince, which has performed even worse cuz then TP guards Hali.

The Celtics are shooting 17% against OG Anunoby so far in these playoffs.

According to the Ringer’s Kirk Goldsberry the Celtics have shot 5-29 against OG in games 1 and 2.
Tatum is 2-8, Brown is 1-5, White is 0-6, everyone else is 2-10. That’s crazy. 2 games and only letting 5 shots go in.
He’s also averaging 2.5 steals per game these playoffs, and 1.1 blocks. Thanks to Thibs he’s leading the playoffs in mpg.

This is coming after a series where Detroit’s entire offense was simply: get Cade to attack anyone who isn’t OG Anunoby.

I wanted to give Ogugua Anunoby Jr. a shout out because despite this being his healthiest season in years, OG got very little buzz for DPOY and all-defense as New York spent the regular season trying to figure out how to patch the defensives holes that are Brunson and KAT. OG was the hole patcher all season long, and got very little credit for that outside New York. Guys who make bad defenses into average ones get way less credit that guys who participate on great defensive teams.

It’s also been his best scoring and driving season.

bisme37 wrote:I know KAT likes to say he’s the best 3 pt shooting big of all time, and maybe he is, but I think KP has a case as best floor spacing big of all time. Major weapon.

If we are just talking spacing, its almost certainly neither of these guys, right? What makes them so much more valuable are the other things they do. KAT can do a ton offensively. KP can do a lot of things offensively as well, plus offer the plus rim protection.

But guys like Bonner, Novak, Bertans offer you more from a pure spacing element. Lethal shooters, crazy fast releases, ability to stretch the floor out from deeper just like KP.

But yeah shame KP just can’t reliably stay healthy. A major what could have been. His skill set is just tailor made to be a modern big. I’m still a little frustrated Dallas gave up on him so easily. Would be nice to have the rim protecting/running of their current centers with the spacing Maxi is supposed to supply.

Great addition by the Celtics though they are so good they didn’t even really need him to win the title.

Lively has an ankle stress fracture. Gafford now has a knee injury, AD has an abdominal issue / groin. They seriously might not make the play in. And then they have 1 more year until AD and Kyrie have decide if this is where they want to be. And Dallas doesn’t own their own draft pick until 2031. Yikes.

Does Kyrie have a player option this summer? He should opt out in June and Dallas goes into next year with Kyrie on a full max (LOL) or no Kyrie at all (double LOL).

He does. LMAO

If AD doesnt make it back this season – and there are rumblings that his injury might be that serious – then the Mavs have almost no ammo to convince Kyrie to stay, especially if there’s any alternatives out there that can pay him and compete. That said, none jump to mind

Meanwhile he’s got to keep the ship afloat without AD, Luka, Lively and now Gafford. Whos the 2nd best player on the court now – PJ Washington? Klay? Christie? And that’s IF Kyrie can stay healthy, a guy who hasnt played 60 games in 5 years. Twitchy small guys tend to fall off quick as well

They’ve really crushed their own odds to dust just because Luka was a little pudgy

phrase request

They seem okay, but there are better options. For 4, I prefer for him instead of from him since for is used when you do something on someone else’s behalf.

Anyway, two more idiomatic phrases, in my opinion, are

  1. A sends his regards.
Example: I met A recently and he sends his regards.
  2. A says hello.
Example: I met A recently and he says hello.

1 sound more formal. 2 is casual. As J.R. points out, 1 could be too formal for some everyday conversations. Considering your situation, I think they are both possible. If you want to sound more casual or friendly, use 2.

Receiving an error code (1109) in the mid…

Had same problem updating iPhone 12 to iOS 18.4, which I had to do via Windows Apple Devices as there wasn’t enough storage on my phone and I don’t have a Mac.

Tried the Hotspot and VPN tricks, but neither worked.

Spoke to Apple Support who basically said take it to my nearest Apple Store (over an hour away!)

Then I saw a post about 3uTools so last ditch attempt I tried that – and the Quick Flash thing worked, reset the phone back to factory settings with iOS 18.4, and now I am currently restoring it to a previous iCloud backup. (by the way, didn’t need to do the “fix battery health” thing)

So far, looks promising – the phone is on and working, at least! Before it was completely stuck mid install, and even hard reset just took it back to same “plug me in” screen, which then got stuck again when I did.

I was then super paranoid that the 3uTools was a scam and when I was putting in my phone password to unlock it, it was actually harvesting that password along with all the others – but that was after reading one bad review amongst many good ones.

Anyway, thank you to 3uTools and thanks to agcb256 for suggesting it!

P.S. I’ve just found the only article I could see on Apple Support that actually references that error code 1109:

If you see Error 3194, Error 1109 or other network connectivity errors when restoring your iPhone or iPad – Apple Support (UK)
