Black Friday is still a day away, but that hasn’t stopped just about every major retailer from Amazon to Walmart from offering big discounts here on Thursday. Lots of these Black Friday 2021 offers can be had right now at the best prices of the week, and they won’t get cheaper once Thanksgiving is over. 

We’ve been scouring the deals and gathering the best Black Friday savings from Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and a ton of other retailers and manufacturers right here, so you can see exactly what’s worth your money and what you should avoid.

With the arrival of Beats new Fit Pro earbuds, I assumed we’d see some nice discounts on the earlier and less feature-rich Beats Studio Buds, which list for $150, or only $50 less than the new $200 Beats Fit Pro. I predicted we might see their price dip to $100 and sure enough, that’s what their price is (and a new low).

The Beats Studio Buds look a lot like the rumored stemless AirPods that people were talking about but never materialized — as AirPods anyway. Geared toward both iOS and Android users, they’re missing a few key features on the Apple side of things (there’s no H1 or W1 chip), but they’re small, lightweight earbuds that are comfortable to wear and offer good sound. They fit most ears securely, including mine — I run with them without a problem — but others may find a better fit with the Beats Fit Pro and their integrated wing tips.

They’re a Black Friday deal of the day at Best Buy, Amazon and Walmart, but Amazon is one-upping its competitors by also offering a $10 Amazon gift card at check out with the code BYZPPJADUODB at checkout. The deal is set to expire at the end of the day.

When will Marvel’s Eternals stream on Disney Plus?

Eternals — the star-packed Marvel movie next up in the superhero franchise — hit theaters exclusively Nov. 5. It isn’t available to stream. 

Eternals also doesn’t have a confirmed streaming release date yet. 

But here’s what we know, and some educated guesses about what to expect:

  • Disney is planning for Eternals to be in theaters exclusively for at least 45 days after debuting Friday. 
  • Disney Plus will be the only service that will (eventually) stream Eternals when it does become available for streaming.
  • Disney’s CEO has said that Eternals will come to Disney Plus after the 45-day theatrical exclusive — but he didn’t specify whether it would be available to stream immediately once that 45-day window elapses. 
  • If Eternals does land on Disney Plus immediately after the 45 days in theaters, that would time its streaming release to be on or around Dec. 20. 
  • But it may be much later than that. Shang-Chi, for example, was in theaters for about 70 days before its Disney Plus release.
  • However, Shang-Chi’s streaming strategy may not be a reliable precedent for how Disney approaches Eternals’ release. Because Shang-Chi’s Disney Plus release was linked to the Disney Plus Day marketing campaign, Disney may approach Eternals’ timing differently. 
  • If (a big “if”) Eternals follows the playbook of Shang-Chi, then it would arrive on Disney Plus about 70 days after its theatrical release, which would time the Eternals’ Disney Plus availability around Jan. 11. 

Then again, it could take many months for Eternals to start streaming. Before the pandemic, new Disney movies would make their way to Disney Plus about five to eight months after they premiered in theaters. If Disney returns to that norm, it’s possible Disney Plus subscribers could be waiting until summer 2022 to start streaming Eternals. 

It’s likely that Eternals will become available to stream on Disney Plus much earlier than the pre-pandemic norm. Unfortunately, we won’t know for certain until Disney confirms its streaming plan for Eternals, and Disney isn’t likely to do that for a while. 

Is Shang-Chi streaming on Disney Plus? 

Yes, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings became available to stream last week as part of the standard Disney Plus catalog. It’s available to watch at no added cost for subscribers. 

That’s much faster than Disney’s theatrical releases hit the streaming service before the pandemic, when it typically took five to eight months. But it’s still longer than some fans had hoped. 

Disney committed to keeping Shang-Chi in theaters exclusively for at least 45 days, which elapsed in mid-October. In between the end of that theatrical exclusive window and Nov. 12, Shang-Chi didn’t become available to even rent online through platforms like Amazon, Apple or others.

Now that Walmart’s early Black Friday deal appetizers have been served, it’s time for the main course. The retailing giant’s ad has been released to the public, detailing special deals that begin online starting at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 22 and kicking off in stores at 5 a.m. on Black Friday morning. Here are a half-dozen great sales on laptops and other tech products that Walmart will be offering for Black Friday 2021.

$49 off

Currently out of stock on Walmart.com, this basic hybrid notebook provides versatility at a low cost. The 11.6-inch screen can be used as a tablet or as a display for laptop functions, perfect for a young student who wants a device for both schoolwork and Netflix.

Black Friday exclusive

This deal on a 70-inch 4K set from Walmart’s onn brand appears to be a Black Friday exclusive, as it’s not available online currently. In addition to a massive screen size and 4K resolution, this HDTV features built-in Roku capabilities for wireless streaming.

Those deciding between Apple’s AirPods Pro and the third-gen AirPods might have an easier time now that Walmart will knock $30 off the Pro earbuds for Black Friday. Another sub-$200 deal on a laptop from Gateway, now a Walmart-exclusive brand, this offers a traditional clamshell design and larger screen size than the one listed above. Looking to save on your monthly cell phone bill by purchasing a phone outright? Walmart has you covered with a sweet deal on an iPhone 12 mini for less than $300.
